PHOTOS: Cambodia Siem Reap Angkor Wat Temple

It is so spectacular that I have decided just to have one page on this temple alone.

Click on them to see larger size, and enjoy!

Kids doze outside of Angkor Wat's protecting lake. I want too.

Newly weds having their pictures taken. IT WAS 09.30 AM!

Protecting walls outside, 1,000 years old

Angkor Wat Temple from about 300 metres away

Lovely cycle ride alongside my local temple

Angkor Wat Temple - we are getting closer

We are entering the walls of the temple

One of the MANY walls with stories on the stone

Follow the line please

Now you see me, now you don't

Everyone smiles here, and I wonder why certain parts are darker...

Respect

A picture, within a picture

Library on one of the East or West sides

Palm trees cannot compete here

Stone and Green

Inspiration

View from the centre all the way to the entrance

Now you see me, now you don't

They look after their Bhudas

VERY STEEP stairs... and these are new ones, the  original ones are in between the new ones!

I wish that was my view from my window every morning

Golden colours are present in many ways

We felt a lot of respect for the place

One of the many countries supporting the restoration of the temple, well done  Germany!

In 1881 someone left his mark. A bit of a shame, or is it?

Thousands of stories on those walls

Great visit, I almost felt closer to heaven

A big forest surrounds the temple

A small temple just down the road....

.... and its monkeys!

DO NOT DISTURB
